Ryann
had a swell birthday (thanks for going over and wishing her Many Happy
Returns). One of the gifts I gave her was the brand new Esther
doll from the Messengers of Faith series.
My daughter Ryann likes it a lot (we both do). She read thru the
book of Esther the week before I gave it to her, so she thought that
was special. She likes how it recites verses from the book.
One thing that JeninNB pointed
out, was that the girl dolls would make an excellent substitute for the
dreaded Barbie doll. It is modestly dressed and the clothes are
not meant to be pulled off (I tried, and really couldn't do it, plus
she has permanent underwear on). If you give your children gifts for Easter, a doll from the Messengers of Faith series would be a perfect choice.
Lastly, does anybody out there have a 4, 5, 6, or 7 year old son who
would be willing to send my son Dippy a letter? He wants a pen
pal SO badly. Everyday he faithfully asks me to check the mailbox
to see if he got a 'weddah'. His address is: Dippy Igarashi PO Box 1701 Dandridge TN 37725

dolls & pals
I’ll have to be gettin’ one of those dolls for my Emicakes. She’d love it, and we hate Barbies ’round here.
I will nominate my 6yo son Jesse to be your son’s penpal. He would love it! Every day he checks the mail for us and gets mad that nobody sent him anything. EVERY DAY. Of course I might have to do most of the actual printing until he’s a little more fluent at writing.

Pen Pal
Hi
My son Josiah is 4 and I was thinking today it would be a great idea for him to have a pen pal. How old is your son? I will have him write a letter to your (beautiful) son tomorrow if that is okay with you.

yes please! Dippy is 5. Anybody who writes him a letter I will have him send a letter back right away. He *so* will love it. He can’t really write, but I will help him. I would love it if he got several letters from several new friends.
thanks!!

Jen,
I think my son would love to be a penpal. My kids always want to know if there is something in the mailbox for them. I’ll show my middle son his picture and see if he’d like to write a note to him tomorrow. Let me forewarn you. His handwriting proves he’ll be a doctor one day.

What a cute li’l dipper you have. Too bad my sons are at the extreme ends (11 years and 1 year old, but maybe TJ can send some crayon chewings?

I have 2 that would LOVE to write
My 5 yo son could, but my 4 yo daughter would love to “write” if she knew she would be getting mail back. She sometimes cries because there is never anything in the mailbox for her. She is forever “writing” notes and some of them actually make it to the mailbox to family (with an explanation from Mommy, of course
).

She is asking if she really has to call him Dippy LOL.
We’ll send him a wedda!

Well, at least you posted a PO box! What did I tell you about stalkers?
Lucien was very impressed when I told him about the potato cannons and mule. He says we’ve got meet y’all soon. He might actually have Saturdays off soon.

I don’t have a boy for Dippy to correspond with. I’m sorry. But I am having a contest so spread the word. A pair of ear bobbles is the prize to entice you to enter. Tell Coie.

Hi
I just wanted to let you know that my son sent Dippy a letter today. He also had me print out the picture of Dippy on your web site so he would remember what he looks like. We put the picture up in our school space. Josiah wants to know if Dippy is his real name or a name that you call him. Josiah told me to tell you that “my mom calls be bug.”

Just to let you know after the fact, but I helped the two grandboys write off a letter and a postcard to Dippy. We hope he enjoys the mail. D asked that afternoon if he got his letter back yet aso I had to tell him Dippy hadn’t even gotten his yet. We’re the ones from Illinois, unless you get more than one from Illinois. Blessings.
