I Promise I am Still Alive

I think this is the longest I've gone
without blogging… even longer than my self imposed blogging fast
(that didn't last more than 48 hours).

Yesterday me and Coie
drove up to Cincinatti (did I spell that right?) to pick up Geoff the
Great, who hath finally returned from his adventurous travels.
Actually, when I say that “me and Coie drove“, what I really mean to say is that Coie drove
I just sat there until my cheeks fell asleep.  I am such a
terrible driver that I've decided to give it up altogether (or at leat
try too).

Anyways, spending seven straight hours in an empty car with your
seventeen year old can be quite revealing.  She has got our border
problem completely figured out.  She has also got all twenty seven
of her future kids' names all planned out (my favorite one's are
“Dasani” and “Disco” for her future sons.  She is one fun
girl.  We missed Ryann,  she stayed home to help auntie
watch the kids, but it would have been fun to have her along for the
drive too.  It is great fun when your kids start to turn into
adults.  It's weird, but it's definitely fun.  More later…
I have GOT to go to bed.  Good golly, being a passenger is
exhausting work.  So I'll talk to you later.  And by the way,
those names that Coie picked were not really serious… just in case
you were wondering.

OH! and let me know if you've gotten your summer issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine
What did you think?  Like it? Hate it? Think it can improve? Let
us know!  If you leave a comment about this issue, please make
sure you also leave your blog link– we may use your comments in an
upcoming issue (in the Teacher's Lounge section… some of you bloggers
are in there this latest issue)
