Today felt like Spring. I don't just
mean because of the weather. Have you ever had a day where you
woke up and you just felt happy and blessed? I felt like that all
day today. We met the neatest family, completely by accident, and
spent the whole day at their house this afternoon. They were
absolutely delightful, we really enjoyed ourselves. I am so
thankful for good friends, both new and old. I am thankful when I
see God working in my life and in other's. Did I use that
apostrophe properly? The neat thing about my God, is that He is
real and He is interactive, and He is so kind. I am very happy to be in TN. I cannot believe all the amazing new friends we have made here.
Maria
has been talking about putting together a Blogger Event where all the
local HSB bloggers (within a 12 hour drive?) could hang out. Wouldn't
that be awesome?? Let me know if you'd be interested in that…

Isn’t it fun to be overcome with that warm, fuzzy feeling (yes, I really used fuzzy feelings…but that’s how it feels!)
YES to a blogger – bash, jamboree or par-tay or whatever it’s called!!!! That would be COOL!!! Oh, my, I pity the town that hosts that event…there will plenty of cackling and cuttin’ up.
BTW, April 7th is No Housework Day, so I’m planning a photo contest…I’ll announce it April 1st (and, no, you cannot reuse the “exercise” photo from Chickadee’s contest). Think of your favorite chore!

Hmmm…I’ve been thinking about one for our big ole state of Tejas… Let us know if Mareeeeeea decides to press on. I think it’s a fabulous idea!
Love,
Marshie who is feeling ultra blessed and happy today as well…perhaps because dh did not have to work today– unusual for a Sunday lately…

new friends
One of my very favorite friends was met that way… completely by accident… or at least, that is what it would seem like… actually I believe it was totally a God-thing! 🙂

An HSB event? Wow, what a great idea! It was also a great idea last fall when I suggested the very same thing (Washington DC anyone?)
on March 26th, 2006 at 9:56 pm
Are you sure that's a good idea???
I’M SO IN!
And, I’m willing to fly. But only if there are warm, sandy beaches, or rolling hills, or mountain trails, or countryside venues, or big-city restaurants, or small-town hospitality…Did I cover all the bases?
Basically, I think that’d be purdee cool!

Sounds like fun! As long as I don’t have to make a 12 hour drive. I’ve been doing far too many of those recently. And it would have to fit into our really tight schedule. It’s getting tighter and squishier as time goes on. We are in the “it’s time to think about packing for Romania” mode.
on March 26th, 2006 at 10:15 pm
Cool idea…
That’s a great idea. Maybe we could have a couple…so that usn’s in the northerly regions could get to one too! The people here at HSB have been so uplifting. I’m so glad I checked it out after reading about it in TOS.

Event
I think I would drive 12 hours to meet HSbloggers ~ but only if I can watch the Princess Bride with you and Gena 🙂
on March 26th, 2006 at 10:50 pm
Glad you had such a great day!
(And wishing I was within a 12 hour drive!)
on March 26th, 2006 at 11:29 pm
I'll come!
I’ve only been on HSB for a couple months, but I’m having a great time. There are so many awesome homeschoolers out there. We are a very wordy and clever bunch. Some kind of event would be a great time. And while you’re thinking about locations, consider that you can get to Illinois within 12 hours of almost anywhere.
on March 26th, 2006 at 11:33 pm
Wait for me
Can it be when I’m in NC, then I’d only have to drive like 3 hours vs. 13 hours, that’s one hour longer? The only question is will DH go for it, I’ll see what I can do…..

Oh me, me me!!!
I want to come and meet the HSB bloggers in person. Don’t ya just love these folks?
on March 27th, 2006 at 6:58 am
12 hours! What are you thinking?!?!!!
oh my….Jen you read way into my idea. I thought a local blogger get together (like those within 25 miles) but as usual you and your big ideas are taking over. Is this going to be like DIRTY BINGO? Than I’m sure we’ll get a HUGE response. Now we’ll have to rent a park or convention center…. . Who’s helping to plan this big shin ding?
12 hours – where did you get that from? You trying to make me look like the bad blogger, when I tell everyone, “no sorry it’s for the Smoky Mountain Clan only”.

Sorry this is "off topic" but…
Would you please stop over to Adventure Acadamy’s blog and encourage her to stay at HSB? She has experienced two deaths recently in their family and is discouraged. Let’s join together and lift her and her family before the throne of God.
In Him,
Amy

HSB gathering would be fun! I don’t know that I could make it (normal disclaimers about money and so forth), but it would be neat!
on March 27th, 2006 at 2:01 pm
Fun
Well, like Maria, I thought Maria was talking about a local gathering, but I say, “Hey! Since Jen volunteered to organize this thing, we’ll let her!” kdla;dkjfaf
I only have to drive 10 or 20 min., and I’ll even bring a bag of chips!

Not fair. Move to Washington immediately, and I will not only be your friend, but will give you a goat and two kittens. Hurry.
Why do you people in Tn get to have all the fun? Do you like the slick way I just typed TN instead of the whole word? That’s because I can’t exactly remember how to spell it.
Tell your sister to move here too. I will give her a goat, and one of your kittens.
on March 27th, 2006 at 6:10 pm
Definitely interested!
Just don’t schedule it in May, June or July, okay? Pretty please. I figure by August we should be settled in to a place again after our 2 month jaunt to Canada. I can try my new French out and you all can laugh! I think it would be loads of fun to get together with other HSBloggers.
Love and shalom,

Ooooo, a get-together sounds like such fun! I think I can make it in about 7 hours. And since the “others” is plural, the apostrophe goes after the s. Can I be the official HSB proofreader? I really like grammar and punctuation. Sort of a sickness with me. Maybe you should send me the number of that psychiatric clinic. . . Karen
