Guess What I Have?

Yep, how did you know?  You are right
— it is another very awesomly fabulous contest.  TWO of you will
win two sets of cards.  These are not ordinary cards.  These
cards are not your ordinary cards…. (sung to that one song in Lord of
the Beans). Sorry.

These two decks of cards play like Old Maid, but instead of the Old
Maid, you've got the ART GUY.  You don't want to get stuck with
the art guy card.  They are both very cool decks.  One is all
fine art paintings, featuring artists like Grant Wood, Pieter Brueghal,
Da Vinci, Degas, Gainsborough, Gauguin, Homer. Matisse, Michael Angelo,
ect…  Very Awesome.

The second deck is famous architect structures like the pyramids,
Eiffel Tower, the Parthanon, Geodesic Dome, Great Wall, Cathedral of
Notre Dame, Empire State Building, Taj Mahal etc.  Is that
exciting or what?  To win, just tell me your birthday.

PS Check this out, there is a group of HSB bloggers who have took the Blubber Blogger club and made it official.  I am going to join!

PPS My 50 mail order chickens have still not arrived, which is good since we still aint got the chicken coop all built-like.

I am kinda old….(or so my hubby says:))

but not at heart!:) Hi Jen! This is Angie.:) My husband often tells me how old……..I am simply because… I am 2 years older than him.:) My birthday is:

    February 4th, 1970.

I am also telling you his, because, poor guy………his birthday is in three days! Yep… a real honest to goodness April Fools baby. When we were first dating and he told me that, I thought that he was joking. But, no:) So Kevin’s is:

    April 1st, 1972.

Have a great one! Let us know if you need help with the chicken coop.:)

Also, there is one cooky rooster that lives near us (in town) and has begun to come and sing his song veryyyyyyyyy early in the morning right underneath our window.:( His coop is not holding him in at all and if 1. I weren’t a little leery of him and 2. I didn’t know where he lived.. we might try to transplant him at your home.:) However, since we do know where he lives and he gives us something to complain and laugh about, bad idea.:)

    Good Grief!

So this is how you get comments on your blog, huh? I guess that’s one way to do it… 😉

I just wanted to ‘invite/challenge’ you to prove your bird prowess by coming over to view my latest blog entry: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/HomegrownHearts/108665/

I need some help and since you are the Bird Woman of Appalachia – or soon will be – I’m sure you will have no trouble answering my query there.

I hope your chicks work out for you. I only know a couple things about them. First is that they are incredibly cute and soft (we have to go see and ‘pet’ the very new ones at the fair every year). The rest of my knowledge I got from a Martha Stewart show I once happened across years ago when she had just gotten a big batch of baby chicks in. The main thing I remember is that you have to wipe their little bottoms for them (seriously). And you have to make sure they don’t accidentally drown themselves in their water dish. I’m only partially sure on that second thing, but I KNOW I remember seeing Martha wiping chick tushies. That’s not something that’s easy to forget – believe me, I’ve tried. So stock up on rubber gloves for the kids, it’s gonna be fun on the farm once you start feeding the little poo machines.

Oh, and my birthday is August 6. Am I eligible for contests?!?

I wasn’t going to join, but I’m having a bad day and thought “why not?”

January 27 (Do you need the year?? I am very old! Ask Gena, she knows the year. Or just look in my profile. It’s the one with the cobwebs.)

    Birthdate

I don’t know when this contest is ending but Dec. 19th (whispers 1961) is the day I was born. Yep. In WAHOO! Nebraska. That is really a town 🙂

BTW i love reading your articles. Read one the other day called “The Day I Died”. Profound writing. Could be me, the mother, grandmother. Sniff. Actually, well you already know this, but without the Holy Spirit, that IS/was me.

You all are so funny. I love this community.

    God bless,

    Okey dokey

August 5th, this year that falls the day after my sister’s wedding, she’s getting married friday evening, rather than saturday, because that was the best weekend for them and she didn’t want to do it on my birthday! (what? was she afraid I’d be competition for presents?!)

Anyway, have fun with those baby chickens, they grow up fast. It is so cool to pick up the chirping box from the post office! (My parents have done it several times, we hope to try soon!)
