Tennessee is Splendiferous

Yesterday was the best
My kids got to play baseball all day with a bunch of other
homeschoolers.  It was so so so fun.  I got sun stroke and
came home and mowed.  I mowed and mowed till I couldn't mow no
mo.  That push mower isn't as fun as it was the first day…
however, it was still loads of fun.  We also met one of our
neighbors (this was before i got sick), he was a pretty neato
guy.  I like TN.  I think we've done more here in TN than
we've ever done our whole lives.  Next week I'm going to take my
girls to a new friends house and learn how to make soap.  Doesn't
that sound like fun?

And… for those of you who were asking, you can now buy the new HomeschoolBlogger.com shirts!  You can go here
to see a close up and check to see if your name is listed (scroll all
the way to the bottom of the page).  We've already sold a
few!  I know that Amber got hers, and so did Jaybird, I think…

Yes indeedy-doo…the sun has definitely baked your brain! You are doing all of that I-love-mowing-stuff with a PUSH mower?! Man, you California girls are nutty-fruity fer sure!

If you have more than half an acre of land, you must get a RIDING mower you big silly. And for those of us who don’t have a farm but wish we did, we call these riding mowers a “tractor.”

Okay, you may now continue with your splendiferous mowing…

    Love,

    Marshie

    TN is all right w/me…

About 3yrs ago I did a DTS w/YWAM(Youth With A Mission) in Adams, TN. It was my Lovebug and I and we just loved it there! We have often thought of planning a trip back. It’s a lot like MN until the fall. We don’t have smoking barns w/tobacco leaves in them dotting the countryside. And it smells like someone’s grilling dinner for the whole town. We KNEW we weren’t near home anymore! We were going to call the police until we kept seeing the same thing over and over and figured it must be a TN thing.

Ahhhh, TN. Not too far north, not too far south. Have fun mowing. I bet your biceps are like rocks!

Smiling at you, I mean with you,

    Traci 🙂

So glad you liked baseball.. We are so glad you could come.

Now the mowing thing you just have to work out cause this push mower is going to get old. We did that the first time here and we were blessed to have one of the neighbors come down and mow — than we broke down and got a riding mower. We couldn’t afford it — but we couldn’t afford not to. Now we are happy happy to mow on our litttle “tractor”. Than we cought six more acres next door and we got a real tractor. it wasn’t new but it does the job rather well.

You’ll need to get a tractor one of these days. You’ll find it a joyful itme to have when the mowing needs doins. Put it on the we need list. dflkjfasdlkjf

    Maria

i don’t think heat stroke and mowing are good things to do on the same day.

when you go to the florida convention are you driving? if you are passing through arkansas let me know and i’ll stand in my yard and wave at you as you pass by.

No,no, no,no…NO! You are supposed to be a southern belle….we sit on the porch sipping sweet tea whilst our men/sons mow the yard, as we are always in a state of delicate conditions and such…suffering from vapors and heat stroke and the like, dontcha know??? Why if my DH or DS were to catch wind of a southern woman mowing a yard, it would do me in for sure…I’ll be out there on that lawn tractor in 300% humiity before you can say “grits, NASCAR and BC powders”.

    Uhhh..you "think" I got mine??

I think Paypal hates me this week. I hope it’s on it’s way.

And can I hire you to mow here? It’s not that far….and I bet all the HSBers between here and there would give you a drink while you pushed your mower northward. Whatcha say?

Oh and I would have bought more….

    Hmm

I have to question your love of mowing. Now I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the yard look nice when it is done but the actual mowing part I would not term fun. And I type all this as I head out to mow my yard in the high humidity so I can get it done before the rain moves in.

And eyecorn, if this southern gal sat on the porch (not that I have one) sipping tea instead of mowing, she would be looking at weeds taller than the house because dh doesn’t have the time to mow and the Lord didn’t bless me with sons. 🙂
