This will be a scattered entry because I
don't want to take the time to organize and condense. But I
promise it will still be short.
Firstly, the TN/VA/NC bloggers
picnic was fun, I'd tell you all about it myself, but Steve does such a
great job at splainin' it, that I will simply link to his entry.
I appreciate how he went out of his way to mention that I stayed fully
clothed the entire time. Hardy har har. Methinks he might
be mine and Gena's
long lost identical twin brother. And no, the video of my
unglorious de-pantsing is still not available to the public. Vultures.
Secondly, I got nominated for something. The graphic for the awards is soooo purdy that it makes me want to win.
Thirdly, if you (or your kid) have a story that is swimming around your head just dying to get out, then you ought to enter The Old Schoolhouse First Annual Writers Competition.
The winners (one adult and one child) will have their story published
in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, on The Old Schoolhouse Magazine
website, and it will also be published on www.Crosswalk.com . The winners will also win $1500 in great prizes. How neatsy is that?!
Fourthly, I got an epidural three years ago while vacating King James
from my mid-section, and I kid you not, over the last few days the spot
where I got the epidural hurts like a mad cow. Is that normal??
This was THREE years ago! I'm guessing that's not normal.
It hurts whenever I bend.
Fifthly, I shall indeed attempt Crockpot apple butter. I will update you at its completion. Thanks for all of your collective apple wisdom; you guys are a barrel of knowledge

Apple butter
You asked on my blog what I do with the apple butter… well, I eat it! 🙂 Just teasing! I put it on pancakes, waffles, or biscuits. I make pb&j sandwiches out of it. Basically anthing you would use jelly for tastes good with apple butter. I freeze it in either plastic containers or plastic freezer bags and we eat it all year.
As far as your back hurting, that doesn’t sound very normal to me. It might just be a nerve pinched.

Woohoo! I'm part of the family!! 🙂
Glad you decided to add “/NC” to the picnic description. Not only did we succeed in crashing the party, but we forced the addition of our state to it…cool! And a link to my blog to boot. Thanks! 🙂
So, should Christy and I change our last name to Sensenigarashi now? 😉

I busted my ankle pretty good three years ago and it still hurts quite a bit from time to time, especially before stormy weather when the air pressure drops. Welcome to “life over 30.” (Hint — life over 40 is even more fun!)

Congratulations on your nomination.
Glad to see you nominated. You should get that logo up – it would look nice on your site. Here’s hoping all your readers go over and re-nominate you (because blogs with the most nominations make the finals).

I just consulted my resident chiropractor (who is swimming in the pool at the moment) and he said that it’s possible that the epidural caused the muscles to relax enough to cause it to be easier for that part of your back to become out of alignment. I’m sold on chiropractors, and not just cause I’m married to one. Just my 2 cents, and with inflation, that’s not worth much, but it’s here just the same….

Epidural pain…
I, too, have residual epidural pain from one I had in 2001. Sometimes I think I’m crazy to make a connection, but then I remember seeing that extremely looooong thing the anesthetist pulled out of my spine…

I had an epidural in 1983 (yikes 23 years ago) and yowza it can still hurt! You might have bumped the spot when you de-pants on the tire swing….. and so now it hurts…. Just watch it doesn’t infect….
