Jeneric Jeneralities ~ by JenIG

He is in overly sunny California
right now.  We were all supposed to drive
out there for a visit but weren’t able to make it this month, so he is out
there by himself.  Today he is supposed
to drive his mama back home (to MI).
Hopefully he’ll be home by Monday or Tuesday.  We still may take a trip out there at the
beginning of Sept.  If you live along Hwy
40 let me know if we can drop in at your house for dinner.

Now, check this out…. My oldest and youngest have the exact
same eyeballs.

All the other kids’ eyes
don’t really have a color.  They
sort of have a blend of browns and greens and blues.  It looks like paint that wasn’t mixed properly.  It’s
weird.  And Emmiko, she’s even weirder,
her eyes are different colors.  One is
bluish and one is greenish. I should get a picture of that.

Lastly, here is one of the best posts I’ve read this
week.  I really loved it!

Have a great weekend!

My dear husband was gone for 2 1/2 days and it felt like a week. I don’t like it when he’s gone. We don’t live anywhere near I-40 but your are welcome to drop by for dinner any time you want. 🙂

What a fabulous picture of their eyes! Would it be weird to frame something like that? (you not me!).

It would be interesting to photograph the similarities between all the kids and David and I. Who shares the same mouth, eyes, nose, smile…Hmmmm…

Thanks for the link to the post– you are absolutely right, that was truly beautiful! Definitely wise words for us as well…I know I need to readjust some of my dreams…better late than never.

Did you ever find out what happened to your chickens?

Praying for Geoff the Great’s safe return.

    Love,

    Marsha

    Not off I-40

We’re nowhere near I-40, and are the opposite direction, but if you are ever headed over to western NC, you all are more than welcome at our place for dinner and fellowship!

What gorgeous blue eyes…they are exactly the same! Well, if you take a wrong turn on I40 in TN and don’t realize it until you reach Winston Salem, NC, then you’re more than welcome to come to our house for dinner. Now, that I’ve rectified our carpenter ant “situation” (thank you “gourment ant bait”), our kitchen is open to visitors!

re: my post about your tag contest

actually, it wasn’t as easy as it may look. i wish it were easier to find old posts (dial up makes it even harder). i think that’s why i missed your deadline. plus you never post that quickly. it was record time.

    Apples

I can’t believe I said apple sauce and apple butter and yet forgot the most bestest thing to do with apples ever!

    CHOCOLATE AND CARAMEL COVERED APPLES!!!

What was I thinking?! Or rather, I wasn’t!!! Do you have any apples left to try your hand at making this delectable treat? You know, it’s not just for county fairs and gourmet shops anymore!

    That's funny!

My eyes are usually hazel but when I’m outside or hot they turn a bright green! Weird.

    Your children have B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L EYES!!!

    Sincerely,

    What pretty eyes they have!!!

We live right off of I-40 at exit 25 in Arlington, Tn. We are right outside of Memphis and about 25 mile to the Ark. line. If you leave your house in the morning, you will be by my place just in time for supper!!!

Please stop by anytime, stay the night even, it’s free, it’s fun and I promise to tie up my “tire swing” to the tree so you won’t get hurt!! No really, you guys are welcome anytime that you are passing through the area.

Hope to maybe see you one day!

You actually missed a cooler weekend..

So. CA actually cooled off and made for a nice weekend and today is not so bad either. Looks like the rest of the nation is baking though. If you care to detour a bit to the 15 fwy then the 10, I’ll gladly throw something on the bbq for you all. Just have to bring a jar of applesauce and one of those pies you’ve got in the freezer to share!
