Calling All Homeschool Graduates
We are doing a feature in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and I need pictures of three more homeschool graduates along with a 50 word message from the graduate saying what they are doing now, what their plans are for the future, thanking their parents, or just whatever. If you know a homeschool graduate will you please have them email their picture and 50 words to me? I need it, like, yesterday (i am stupendously bad with deadlines). They can email me at JenIG@TOSMag.com , and they will get up to five copies of the issue that their pictures and message appears in.
In other news, sure enough….Gena's dumb old dumb dog had seven puppies. I know you've all been waiting….the line forms to the right. Go ahead and sign up below for your very own tremendously ugly puppy. I thought that dog's last batch was unfortunate looking — but this batch wins the Ugly Crown hands down. I will get pictures up as soon as possible. I swear these things are half possum. y.u.c.k. |

Congratulations — I mean I am sorry about all the puppies you have to find homes for. I’m sure you can give away one free puppy with each contest you run.
I was hoping to see you and Gena tonight but it looks like you guys are a bit busy.
Call “Denise” if you are going to Moms Night – she asked me and I said I didn’t think so.
Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Thank you kindly…
for the offer of a half-sister for our pup, but as you may have read on my blog and that of Dad2Three, that Daisy has been branded CUJO by her vet, where she spent a long weekend getting fixed (unlike her MOTHER, who apparently has no restraint whatsoever)!! I’m afraid that our cujo-in-disguise might eat her kin. As the vet said, “all dogs have their quirks.” Her called her particular one “cage aggression.” We know that she’s just a sweet homeschooled pup who didn’t like being confined to a cage near a dozen other snarling hounds…..(hmmm, sounds like certain institutions, doesn’t it….)

No puppies, thank you. We already have 3 inside dogs, plus 3 cats, the African Grey, and 2 fish (and a mouse who lives in our gutter).
You come and go out of hickville more than I can keep up with! And you tell me I’m busy. Ha. By the way, I beg your pardon, you just happen to have left civilization to move to the boonies. Our fair county has all of those stores…well, except our Panera closed down. But we have an Atlanta Bread Co. And, we don’t have….what on earth was that….Jungle Juices, or something you mentioned. don’t think we’re missing too much with that one. I think you fit in right nicely with the rest of us hicks.
We’re leaving for our vacation tomorrow. Stop by my blog and check it out. Pray for us. We have a 12-14 hour trip each way, and pray away those pesky hurricanes.

I forgot to mention that the commentor who talked about the washing machine in their front yard made me remember about the time it took me months to get rid of the toilet sitting in my driveway. See. You thought I was a perfectionist. Only for company!

No grads here and no thanks to the dogs. But I truly laughed at your comments about living in an “uncivilized” area. We live in rural MO after living in cities most of my life. I understand the longing for a mall or resturant not 30+ minutes away. But hafl my family lives in a rural ares, so careful now with those comments about dozens of cars parked behind the trailer. (just kidding) Althought I will share that I saw a newer hummer parked by an older mobile home once…and couldn’t help but laugh and wonder if they were visiting or lived there.

Don’t EVEN ask me to adopt one of those mutant puppies. You know my history with possums.

I think I will pass on the dog this time…dont really want to drive to TN this year. I know I am a month late and $10 short with this one (see what happens when I become lax in my blog reading) and probably dont even qualify as a homeschool graduate since I was only homeschooled my last 2 years of High School and even then we were under the umbrella of a Christian school using the ACE program….but I am married now and homeschooling my four children!
