Contest Time! And This One is Gooooooood.
Finally I’m able to get back into HomeschoolBlogger. That upgrade took too long for my liking. I was thiiiiiiiis close to demanding a full refund as an unsatisfied blogger. Heh heh heh. Actually, I did lodge a complaint with the Operations Director. He told me, “Honey, stop complaining, those web guys are working hard to make things run way better”. And then I kissed him. How’s that for scandalous? So did you hear the news? Coie is having another one of her Famous Christmas Candy Concoction Give-aways. Trust me, you will definitely want to enter. They are gourmet. I hate the word gourmet on account of my sister’s over-usage of that word. As a matter of fact, I don’t think she realizes that me and Geoff the Great have a running joke about it. Anyways, she (coie, not gena) is sending three winners a whole big old box full. I don’t know where that kid got all her domesticated skills. It certainly tweren’t from me. So anyways, head over to Coie’s blog and enter. And, in the spirit of contest giveaways and ‘being domesticated’…. I have TWO books for one of you to win. One is called Stitches and Pins, A Beginning Sewing Book for Girls, and the other is Buckles and Bobbins, A Beginning Sewing Book for Boys.
These two books are a $50 value and are NEAT! Perhaps if you are a non-sewer like me – hang on, did I type that correctly? Is sewer (one who sews) spelled the same way as ‘sewer’, as in my ‘sewer is backing up’? sick. Anyhow, all you have to do to enter my contest is let me know that you entered (or will enter) Coie’s contest and that you’d like these sewer books along with her chocolates. One random winner shall thus be chosen when Coie’s contest hath ended. Is that easy or what? |

I'm inspired!
I love contests. I think I'll celebrate homeschool blogger's return with a contest.
How do I enter your contest? My only problem with getting a book on sewing is that I'm kind of adverse to sewing since I've done such a terrible job on everything I've ever sewn. I hate everything I've ever made. I turn my head to the side so I don't have to look at the curtains I've made. I envy Heather's ability to sew – but not enough to learn myself. If I win, maybe I'll give it to Heather to teach the younger children.

yippie, i'm signed in!
i will happily enter both contests, so joyful am i to be an actual signed in non-paying bloggy user.
i was just looking at those books last night (well not the boy one, i think that's a tad sissy and i'm sure my husband would heartily agree – no offense to boy sewers out there).
anyways, now that i've insulted all the male sewers out there, i was looking and my daughters would love to know how to sew, but alas, their mother's sewing skills are limited and fickle.
consider me entered and i'll take up space on my own blog from now on.

I think those who sew would prefer being called a seamstress to a sewer, lol!

I would love to win…
the candy and the books! I have three daughters that would love to learn to sew and a sweet tooth that would love to eat candy while they are learning to sew. 🙂

Ooh, ooh, ooh, pick me! My daughter wants to be a fashion designer, and I can't sew worth beans! Surely a book about beginning sewing would be of tremendous worth to her, especially since I am absolutely no help in this area! And I have a boy too! And, yes, even though I'm too far away for Coie to send homemade candy to, I LOVE chocolate. Everyone in my church knows my passion for chocolate. I'll enter her contest too, I promise!

Sounds Great!
Pick me!!
My motherinlaw bought me a sewing machine two years ago and I have made… one scarf. My kids keep asking me to teach them how to sew. I guess I could teach them how to sew… one scarf! LOL!
Count me in the running! Oh, and I'm off to Coie's to win the treats :o)

Hey, that sewer and sewer comment would be great for Laurie Bluedorn's contest!
As far as the candies, yes YES that dear daughter of yours is quite talented in the engineering of deliciously delectable candies. Mmmm… I'm still waiting for the recipes of some of the goodies she made last year…Maybe you can make the sharing of the formula of such choice confectionaries her next homework assignment?
Love,
Marshie– your NON-scandalous friend…at the moment at least!

Greetings, you treasure!
Really, Mrs. Ig, you are a treasure! Every time I talk to you or visit your blog I am so glad that God allowed me to know you! I ALways love your entries, you post the loveliest comments and you are a DE-light to be around!
Oh, why does your family have to get calm? We all know you as the energetic, no-sit-when-you-can-play family and somehow the "Newer Igs" doesn't quite slip off my tongue….Oh, well.
I really like the new HSB software! The manager control panels look great! Not, of course, as if I didn't like the old one, but it is usually fun to see something new, right?
I read your entry: "Is Labor Day a Christian Holiday if You're a Christian?" and liked it. Do you also think the world uses it as an excuse? Oh, but why was "Labor Day" mentioned in the title when the entry said nothing about it?
Again, I love you! And thanks for blessing us with your friendship!

But there is One
Who will hold you fast,
Even to the end of the age!"

I am entering both contest. One because I love anything free. Two because I love books. And three because I love candy and cannot make none this year because of limited space in my motel room.
Blessings and love

I entered Coie's contest and "accused" her of being diguised as a carpet GUY in the now infamous (in our house anyway) BAJEEBERS incident! http://homeschoolblogger.com/quietcajun/254732/
I LOVE contests!

I'll enter both contests because I'd like candy and a sewing book-I'll need new clothes after all that candy!
