I *Thought* I Was a Good Girl
I *Thought* I Was a Good Girl
James, my three year old bossy child, was watching me cook and when i came near him (he was standing near the entrance, he reached up and patted me on my bumsie and told me (very condescendingly) "You a good boy; you a good boy". I told him, "Don’t touch my bumsie, and i’m *not* a boy. I’m a girl; I’m a good GIRL" He looked a little irritated (and as if he pitied me for being so dense) and told me: "no… no, you not a girl. You a mommy".
Ahem. My mistake. It’ll be interesting to see how Geoff takes it when I break the news to him.
Here’s a picture of James that Coie found earlier today. It was taken a *while* ago, but this was pretty much the same look he gave me when I was silly enough to state I was a girl:
![]() Even at that young age he had mastered The Eyebrow.
PS Congrats to the dear Dixons and their new little pixie-muffin

What an absolutely precious photo!! Yes, we are not women, we're moms and we don't have names, we're *so-and-so's mom*.

LOL
What a look! Kids are great aren't they? They always say the darnedest things!
I am sorry that I haven't been by for a visit in forever. Life has gotten busier as the children have gotten older and I don't get to blog as much as I used to, much less visit blogs. I have a new blog site now because I am trying to teach myself html in my spare time with hopes of having a business website and I figured it made the most sense to have everything in the same place. Come visit if you get a chance:) http://www.melissaomarkham.com

My little angle gets annoyed if we call her Granny/Pappy/Nana either mom or dad.
Next month we are going to Tennessee to see my Granny, her great-Granny and I just CAN NOT have a granny of my own.

Thanks for your comment! That picture of James is precious! And the picture of your property is beautiful. I love springtime! I hope you all did not get a bad freeze in your area like we did in North Alabama. Some of our hydrangea plants and the crape myrtle leaves are wilted, but maybe they will recover. 🙂

Oh he looks SO sweet and adorable!
(But he still looks like the same James!)
It's amazing how early they master their unique expressions isn't it?!

You may have some trouble when the time comes for you to explain that boys can't be mommies. Expect that look once again. I'll be praying for you. ;-D
I hope you print out all these things you write about your kiddlings and save them in files or notebooks (or whatever) for them. It's all so priceless! What great memories. (And I LOVE his darling blue eyes!)

Hey..
I got me one of them thar little boys, too…
I am still looking for the humor, though!!!
*LOVE* having an einstein-ish, very well-spoken angel… but the eyebrow thing (and the like) is going quickly.
*Don't* want it at 15.
So, *our* bad training, now our re-training!
James is a cutie, though! And, Isaac thought for sure he would be seeing him this weekend. We had to explain who his Auntie Gena is and James is an Igarashi… He wanted to share his swingset and slide with him "when he comes".
Aren't they Sweeeeet?
Blessings-

Wow…
He looks JUST like his dad with that eyebrow up.. I remember getting that eyebrow from Geoff.. that was worse than a whipping!

Cute!
What a fun guy! Looks like he has been full of personality from the beginning. I have one who could raise one eyebrow when she was just a baby. It is so cute. I love it.
