Jeneric Jeneralities ~ by JenIG

Today we spent the day with a marvelous group of friends celebrating Veronica G’s birthday.  There is nothing funner than a dance!

Getting the Ryann ready

here is Coie and Kait …and Dippy, who looks like he is about to propose

it didn’t take long for the dancing to begin!

Doesn’t BoBo have a lovely tie?  He insisted on wearing it

Here is lovely Emmiko and lovely Coie.  You can tell they are sisters because they are the only ones in the room who are barefoot.

I told Dippy that he *had* to dance, so he was walking nervously around the room trying to find a partner, and all of a sudden this little sweet potato came up and asked him to dance.  He was so excited that *he* didn’t have to do the askng.  My daugther was standing near by as they stood there holding hands waiting for the next dance; she told me that all of a sudden the little girl dropped Dip’s hand and ran over to a man then pointed back over at Dippy and said, "look daddy! I get to dance with him!"; then she ran back over and grabbed his hand again.

Daniel Estabrook: "…so you see, ladies, I determined that it was a milk snake rather than a general king snake on account of…"

No party is a real party without all five of the Estabrook boys (six including their dad).  The lone Lady Estabrook spent most of the afternoon saying, "don’t embarass me" (to all six of her men)

Kait the great did not want for partners.  She had a steady stream of gentlemen who kept her very much occupied throughout the ball.  She was exhausted when we got home!  She is a lovely girl and a lovely dancer.

The lovely and elegant Ryann

The lovely and elegant James

The lovely and elegant  Emmiko with the classic look that always makes me very very very nervous

On our way home, Coie started making plans for a grand Christmas Ball this December.  Wouldn’t that be fun?

    Woe is me…

Oh, Mrs. Ig., why do you flatter me so? I do not think that I like to be called Kait the great because I am *not* nearly so great as you make me seem. In fact there have been many times in the last few days where I've realized what a horrid creature I truly am – oh! so terribly sinful. As for the *ahem* gentlemen dancing partners, after today I fear I shall go to the grave as an old maid.

kaitlin, apparently all of that dancing tweaked your cute little head. stop acting like an insane person. are you saying that you did NOT have a steady stream of dance partners?? hmmmm? don't be a liar-girl ! be a truth-girl. You want me to tell everybody how you hurt a young man's feelings by totally turning him down?

Anne…. not only are you TOTALLY welcome, but you're entirely expected to be here. and i am *quite* serious about that. Bring your whole family; you are all welcome to stay at our house. Start saving for a plane ticket!

    Oh, yeah, I remember now.

Kait-E-Lou, you certainly DID have several gentlemen wanting to dance with you, John Mark, Timothy, Bo, Dip, James, etc. and you danced with every dancer in the room because you did the right and left thing.

    Golly that looks fun!

You Tennessee people – you do the coolest things! Tell the truth as one (albeit former) Californian to another Californian – did you have to move out-of-state to find fun people who have dances and pretty gardens and what-not? I don't find many like-minded people [read: none] in CA.

    Blessings from the Golden State,

So much fun! Such lovely people! A *Christmas* dance! I want to come. :+)

I really liked Emmiko's smirkish grin. I do think Ryann looks very elegant. She has a bit of glam about her you know. Watch out for the young men!

    I miss you.

Help us know how to have fun

You all have such wonderfully planned events. I wonder if you would consider keeping track of these events and somehow set out a "how to create" said events for us entertainment-challenged. Seriously, how does one get a ball like this off the ground?

I loved the pictures. It made me feel like there are other wholesome, fun families out there for my kiddo's to marry. Whenever I let them…….:)

I assume my check for the club dues should be made payable to Jenefer Igarashi? (hee-hee)

    Great pictures

Wasn't that fun! That room was the perfect venue. Don't you think we should rent it on a bimonthly basis and make this a regular thing?

BTW, who was that beautiful (translate – old, gray, etc.) lady in the plaid dress? 🙂

How cute is that…your little guy and that little girl!?

Thanks for the link you sent to me. We've not yet decided how or when we'll go, but will definitely consider your suggestion!

Can I come to the Christmas Ball even if my dh's work says, "no dancing"? 🙂

Shay, you are very astute. yes, make that check out to Jenefer Igarashi and send it today.

Joanna, I think you're on to something…. would that not be the funnest thing ever? I nominate you to organize this, Coie will help your girls call the dances! (and i am totally serious!)

Suzanne: me and coie are still trying to make the ball happen. when we asked geof he said: "uh… forget it."
