Jeneric Jeneralities ~ by JenIG

I met my brother-in-law, Paul Suarez, when I was 16.  Gena
was 19 and he was like 73.  Actually, he was 30, but he might as
well been 73.  And I thought “What is my loser sister doing with
this old loser hippie?”  And then to my great dismay, she married
him.  What a nightmare.  Me and Paul could not stand each
other.  And when I say that we couldn't stand each other, what I
really mean is that we both loathed the very sight of each other.
After I got saved it turned out that he was actually an ok
fellow.  And the longer Gena stayed married to him, the more we
liked him, and the he accidentally became me and geoff's best friend.
We might like him better than Gena, even.  So anyhow, he just got
back from California — he'd been gone for a whole month — and gena
said he was anxious to come over because he had presents for us.
Yippeee!  I love presents.  So my very greedy self started
conjuring up all the stuff I figured he might have gotten me.  And
then it came to me.  I just KNEW that he was bringing me some of
the curry mix that I LOVE and cannot buy out here in Whiteyville,
TN.  I even had my blog entry all planned out about what a great
guy he was to bring me curry.  So anyhow.  He did not bring
me curry.

: )  I am *very* glad that my brother is home.  I have
sincerely missed being able to pummel him with all sorts of smart alek
insults.  Gena is glad that he is home, too.  I think Gena is
happier than I am.  But it is good to have the whole family
together again.  God has blessed us more than we deserve.  I
am glad he is safely home. Even if he didn't bring me curry.

And WHY can’t you make your own curry stuff out there? You can buy curry powder at Kroger…so what’s the holdup? Are you too good for Kroger curry powder??? I bet Coie could make some good curry from the Kroger curry powder…

i only know paul from talking on the phone a few times, including the now-famous “time-travel” new year’s eve phone call, where he was way back in 2004 while i was way ahead in 2005. i think paul is pretty cool (but i’m also a 73 year old hippie loser myself).

    Let me guess.

He brought goat food. Llama food?

The Goonies were just a bunch of Little Rascals wanna-be posers.

What is this curry you keep talking about??? Are you going to be making it for us in TN with the local Kroger brand that Marsha recommends…or is this something I could pick up for you in Illinois??? I’d be happy to bring it “down” with me….give me details! Oh…and I expect my Nerds Blizzard in return…

oh yeah, and the Goonies movie…that rocks!

I did see some curry at Krogers. Another option .. if you want to take care of this yourself is to check out the atlanticspice.com site. We buy lots of their stuff… it’s very fresh and I am sure they have waht you need ot make your own curry.

Glad you are so fond of your brother in law. My bil is like the brother I never had.

    Be Blessed!

    What was it?

He brought you Old Bay seasoning, didn't he? Season Salt? Paprika? Airplane pretzels?

The other day our three year old threw a bunch of spices from my spice drawer into a bag (in the containers still) and gave it to my husband. My husband said, "Ooo, yum, this smells like curry. Is this Indian food??" and our son, who always gives angry responses said, "NO! It not Indian food! It COWBOY food!" We didn't know what he was talking about until we put the cowboys and indians thing together.

Paul laughed his head off at this silly entry – and all the comments. I read them each aloud to him as he made coffee for me! I am so happy he is home!!! He and Paulie laughed the hardest at the 73 year old hippy loser….hahahahaha, remember his extremely LONG hair when I met him? Oh, I do miss those days…

    Curry!? Down south?!

For shame…it’s high time you ditched the California curry and take up Texas Pete! It’s all-in-one spice/herb/condiment du jour south of the Mason Dixon and east of the Mississippi.
