We have about 40 thousand ladies here (and one poor lone web
guy) that flew in to TN for our TOS staff meeting. wow. Indescribable.
Girls are weird. And loud. And they eat a ton.
And they always hug each other.
And they get emotional about all sorts of oddities. Like our Public Relations Director, for
instance, nearly started crying when our art team was able to create her a new
template that had the โlook and feel of a steel barreled gun'. Yep. She
actually teared up. I like being a girl and all, but groups of girls are downright
scary and should really be avoided if at all possible.
We have ONE last contest for two people to win some
Christmas Magnetery (see banner at the top for a description of said Christmas Magnetery). Which reminds me,
you know how I was whining about how I wanted one a couple entries back? Well, whining
works; Jim sent me one. So I am now in
the ranks of the Christmas Magnetery Elite.
Thanks Jim! I love it.
To enter this very last contest, tell me you middle
name. Thatโs all you gotta do.

Middle Names
Um, okay. It’s Theresa. Some of the baby name sites have it listed as meaning Harvester, but my mom always said it meant Joy. Julie Theresa = Youthful Joy. I like that better ;-).

As noted above, my wife debbiefromcleveland is Debra Louise, and her sister is Susan Louise. For some reason, their mom — Barbara Jane — named their middle names after her own sister, Patricia Louise. So with Debbie Lou and Susie Lou and their aunt Patty Lou, they oughta all move together into a Tennessee trailer park!!!
I’m not entering this contest or anything, but my middle name is patrick. At least I got off the hook by not having some hard-core Irish first name. What is it about these Irish where they can only think of seven names for their sons? Every Irish guy you ever meet is either Joe, John (Sean), Mike, Jim (Seamus), Pat, Tim or Kevin! Such lack of originality is clearly the reason why Ireland never conquered the world!
Every time I go to vote in Cleveland, there’s always all these Irish judges and politicians on the ballot — names like Kelly, Corrigan, and O’Shaughnessey. When I see an Irish candidate, I always vote for the other guy. So if Rocco Scaglioni, Rufus Washington, or Naomi Finkelstein-Goldberg are on the ballot, they’ll get my vote!

Hey now!
I also resemble that remark! If I recall correctly I saw a certain “Senior Editor and Director of Sales & Advertising” giggle a few times, too. So, nyah. And as for middle names…my Daddy gave me my middle name. His middle name is Lee, and mine is Leanne. I’ve always loved loved loved my middle name. ๐

Groups of girls… *shudder*
I seem to be surrounded by groups of girls wherever I go. I don’t know why that is, but it is really starting to bug me.
There are 3 topics of conversation for every girl group, none of which I’m at all interested in:
1) Husbands / boyfriends.
2) Clothing
3) The amazing things their children have done (like spit up again).
Okay, I might be interested in the last one, but make it spectacular, wouldja?
Anyway, my middle name is Agent. As in Secret Agent Man. Or, you could call me Mr. Man.

My middle name is Gaye. Do you know how much grief I used to get in homeroom in high school? This guy behind me would say, “Come on tell me your middle name.” I would say, “No.” He would say, “I won’t laugh, just tell me.” I said, “It’s Gaye.” He said, “That’s okay, I promise I won’t laugh.” I said, “That’s it… it’s Gaye.” He laughed and then told everybody and they laughed. Needless to say I dropped that name when I got married and now use my maiden name for middle name.

Good grief!
BeccaLoo entered before I did. How embarrassing. But then, she has a regular middle name. My given middle name was Gay. Whatever lovely things you want to say about it to make me feel better, my parents should have known better. My middle and high school years were scarring. I refused to tell people my middle name even through college, and on my birth announcement and college diploma, I spelled it with an “e” at the end. After I got married, I changed my middle name to my maiden name, Eager. So personally, I think I should get sympathy points. I’d take Ruth any day.

KAY
OK, my middle name is just KAY . . . I wish my mom would have been a little more original and added some more phonetic sounds.
My daddy used to call me “Kristin Kay of the Milky Way!”
Oh Kay

Middle Name
I am not sure why I am doing this, especially since I don’t even think I know what the prize really is. I also don’t ever tell anyone my middle name, not because I don’t like it, mind you. I really do love my middle name, but its because people don’t ever pronounce it right.
So, here it is …..Yvette. You pronounce the “Y” so its “ya-vette” not “evette,” thats my cousins middle name Evette. Funny how we got similar middle names, though I was born first.
I’m Dawn Yvette and I am proud of it, because “a good name is to be chosen.” ๐
