Yay For Fifteen Years!
I’m not a fabulous arts and crafts teacher. However, I’m spectacular at finding free holiday themed coloring pages to print out. Every year we tape coloring pages all over our dining room. It’s jolly good fun. Here is a great site with some free Thanksgiving coloring pages:
In other news, it snowed today. Weird. I don’t think it’s suppose to snow in TN in November. I’m glad our woodstove has a big pile of firewood to snack on. That thing keeps us nice and warm. And, lucky for me, I’ve found a solution to my icy bathroom dilemma. My bathroom is far away from the cozy warm woodstove; and when the door is shut, it turns into an absolute meat locker. But a little small space heater has fixed everything. I love that little thing. Toasty. My bathroom has now become the snuggiest room in the house.
In other other-ly news, guess what the day after tomorrow is? November 20 is the day that Geoff the Great made me his wife. I’m one lucky girl. He’s a splendidly perfect human male and I am super lucky to be married to him. He is the most patient, considerate, hard working, faithful, godly, strong, clever, kind hearted, reasonable man I’ve ever met. Plus he’s the best father in the world and he can fix absolutely *anything* that ever breaks. I think I’ll make him a card. The other day I was digging thru his sock drawer and I found an anniversary card I made him several years back. It cracked me up. I should work for Hallmark – scratch that. The cards I make him would not be suitable for general public reading. Yes, Ryann, I can hear you saying it all the way from Michigan “…say no more”. Don’t worry. That’s all I have to state about it.
Speaking of Ryann. I miss my daughter. Come home you little brat! Thursday is too far away!
Ok, I’m off to make another pan of Rice Krispie treats. |

In my annoying, squeaky, 11 year-old-voice: “um, Jenefer? Um, can you please not say stuff like that around me? it makes me uncomfortable…”
love you! Congrats on 15 years… That’s huge! I wish the four of us were in the Caribbean somewhere.

Do you ever make Chocolate Scotcheroos? Peanut butter Rice Krispie treats with melted chocolate & butterscotch chips on top. They are to die for. And I have been known to eat many at one sitting.
Happy Anniversary! You’re six months ahead of us (which really made me pause, because I can hardly believe it’s been 15 years!).

Happy, Happy, Anniversary!! I hope Thursday gets here soon for you. I know I missed my girls last week.
Ok, so you have a wood stove, the house we just bought has a wood stove insert. I have a question. Do you smell smoke in your house from the stove? We have only used ours 2 and I don’t like the smokey smell. What are your thoughts?

i don’t particularily like the smell, either. but, yep, it smells pretty smokey.

noooooooo!!!! Don’t make rice crispy treats! Put the bag of mellows that are marshie down and step away from the rice that is crispy. I know what happened last time and I don’t want to get a church email to pray for you as you have been rushed via LifeStar to UT Hospital with an exploded rice crispy treat overloaded stomach!
Love ya Jen!

Love you!

Happy Anniversary!
Are you going to post wedding pictures?
Didn’t you have really big hair then?
I thought I saw pictures of you with really big hair once.
on November 18th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
wedding pictures. uh. no. and my hair wasn’t too big… but my tummy was pretty large. Do you have any idea how hard it was to find a maternity wedding gown? how embarrassing. ah well. Thank God for His infinite love and the mercy to choose me, redeem me, and love me in spite of myself.
: )

man Jen, I am learning so much about you!!! Wow, it is amazing to learn stuff about how God has worked in a persons life, wow! I never would have guessed that you and Geoff were expecting (I assume Ryann) when you got married, wozers! Isn’t God grand!?
on November 18th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
eeehee! Okay, I’ve got something to say, but maybe I should say it over the email…
*sigh*…I’ve missed so much while I’m up here. This is sad. *next part of comment will be in your inbox* 😛
By the way, you were PERFECT in the timing with the “say no more”. 😀 You’ve got me down.
THURSDAY is too far away? Haven’t you read my facebook? (What’s that saying? Get up with the something or other. Can’t remember the saying. All the cool black guys say it when someone’s not updated…)
Bobo is depressed. He’s ready to be home, too. He misses his goats.

Happy early anniversary! Marriage is so amazing when you marry the perfect match that God has for you! 🙂 I can say that because I am blessed too.

What are trying to do….teach children to throw their food?

he misses his goats? he misses his GOATS? HE MISSES HIS GOATS?????!!!!!
Ryann, you tell Bo that I expect him to be crying and sobbing EVERY DAY until you guys leave, and those tears had better be for ME. you tell him. and they had better be REAL tears.
PS your email made me laugh, and yes, that was probably a better thing to email rather than post out loud

and Jul, yes, when there is too much food, the only resposible thing to do is sychronize a dance with it.

w-a-a-y back you posted about the excellent movie Master and Commander. I left a comment about the book Carry on Mr. Bowditch which was a similar time period. I recall you saying that you did indeed order the book. I was curious if you ever read it and what you/your family or whoever read it thought of it? If you didn’t like it then break it to me gently (:

MY bathroom is miles from the wood heat too! I think I’ll ask for a space heater from santa (jk, I mean Lucien).
