Balance and Focus
Wise words from a friend I love. And if this doesn’t remain as my underlying foundation, I will sink like a stone. Thankful that God knows where I am and what I need. Yesterday it was this post. |

Wow! I just read what you wrote on FB about ‘celebrity Christians’ and the ‘Christian Industry’….I cannot agree with you more. Just this week I finally realized–when doing my own Bible study or reading Christian literature–more and more I look for a writer without a website–so mostly, I am reading authors that have been dead a few centuries. I know–they aren’t perfect either–but I can’t really handle all the self promotion going on in the so-called Christian industry…Pride is so easy to fall into–and it’s just scary where it can lead. (And yes, many of the leaders are weird and their kids are weird and frankly–I am weird! 🙂 no such thing as ‘perfect’!)
I agree we need real relationships with real people with whom we can REALLY know and support and take care of and encourage in our faith.
Thank you for the post.
