She's beautiful…
She looks like she belongs ‘back then!’
And you will love the dehydrator! You can make some of those apple leather strips to keep you well fed in case of a total apocolyptic meltdown! 😉
And congratulations on the new House of Igarashi!
Love,
Carla

Jen, it sounds like you all had great Christmas!! :0) I loved the bonnet that your dd has, my girls also love “back then” stuff. It is funny because that is the exact same wording that they use too!! ;0) If you don’t mind me being nosey, what type of dehydrater did you get? Now that I am an official “homestead blogger” I have been thinking about getting one. If you want to comment on my blog, leave a commet here, email me, or just tell me to mind my own business ;0) it will be fine.

Sounds like you had a nice day!
Despite coming down with a nasty cold… we all had a nice day too.
I finally figured out how to upload NEW photos to my blog… not just transport old photos from my old blog! Some cute ones from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are on there now!

Awwwwwwwww
She looks beautiful! We are so happy to hear the bonnet was a hit.
It’s wonderful to hear all the blessings that God is bestowing on your family. I’m guessing He wants you to stay in the Smokies with the rest of us! Isn’t HE awesome?!!!!

We had Christmas Saturday and went to church and then had company yesterday. A lovely weekend. I love that it was warm enough to take a nice walk Saturday (remember I’m from Maine!)
I hope we can find a home as nice as yours when we start shopping in March! Its so hard to be patient!
Love the back-then dress! I can’t wait to make one when princess is old enough to want one!
Anyone buy any Wedgits for a present? They are a ton of fun! I decided I need more so I can build bigger things! LOL

Emmiko looks sooo very lovely in her outfit! How fun!!! I would’ve loved that when I was younger…
Every December in Galveston they have something called Dickens on the Strand. EVERYONE dresses up in the victorian wear (so you don’t have to pay the $12 to get in)…and all the streets and shops are decorated for the time period. There are lots of different things to see like a flea circus, sword swallower, jugglers, etc. So I am planning on making my own back-then dress to wear next year. I think I’m going to get the boys to wear some knee-breetches (or britches or knickers or whatever you call them)…hehehe…they’ll be adorable with that and some newsboy hats. 🙂
I keep thinking about your new ‘stead….it sounds so perfect!
By the way, clever gift to Gena….very clever….
Love,
Marsha

Sounds like a great day!
I love Emmiko’s bonnet! And I got a dehydrator, too!!! Now what are the chances of that? Maybe we can share dehydrating experiences. Dehydrating doesn’t count as cooking, right? I don’t want you to burn down your new homestead! I really want to do pineapple in my dehydrator…

She's adorable…
and in just a few more weeks you can replace your goat girl pic with one of your Emmiko and a real honest to God really and truly your very own goat thing 🙂 Jen
