Today Is Moving Day

However, we will continue to reside at
Sewer Flats.  Lending Tree didn't get our stuff done in time, so
*hopefully* we will be able to close next Monday. I guess it's a good
thing I didn't get all packed, right?  There are benefits that
come from being a procrastinator.

Here is an impromtu poem I am writing about our *just out of reach*  farm,
Ode To The Lending Tree…

On my farm I have some trees
Full of fruit and honey bees
I can't get there yet, I fear
Sewer Flats doth holds me here

The orchard there shall wait for me
While lenders haggle 'bout the fees
If I had my way, then I would chop
The Lending Tree down in my crop

I spose that's not very nice.  I should be thankful that we even
have a lender and that the Lending Tree was nice enough to introduce us
to them.  So there, that's the worst of my bad attitute I will
display.  In public.

So you’re too funny dear… do you think you could write an ode for me? Let’s see… it has to include the defiant 17 year old, bills due from last month, creditors calling, house not selling, house a mess, and of course laundry pile… is that too much to squeeze in? Oh… I forgot… the very sick 1, 3 and 5 year olds as well…

Gee, thanks dear… just get that done in your spare time okay? a;sldkfj;asdlkjf

    Love ya,

    Amy aka Nutpickle…

P.S. Do you think the Lord could be trying to teach us something in patience?… no, me either…

Oh …..but just think….. in 6 months or so Sewer Flats will be but a memory and perhaps you will be milking goats and picking fruit.

Be patient dear Jenefer for this to shall pass. I look forward to hearing all about the blessings the Lord has in store for you and your family. It’s so worth the wait.

Sorry about your Lending Tree fiasco!

My sis and b-i-l had quite the troubles with the old Lending Tree company they used as well. Ended up trying to hike their rate by almost 2% right before closing…plus took forever on paperwork that should’ve been take care of at the very beginning. Remember, get it ALL in writing ahead of time. So there are no surprises.

Now get packing, you procrastinator! You know that stuff isn’t going to pack itself! And while you’re at it, toss the stuff you don’t really need…but not the kids. The kids have to stay.

    Love,

Marsha who would gladly help you pack if we lived closer

    Our Very Own Side Show!

Hey Jen, Sorry to hear about Lending Tree’s faux pas. I Hope you’ll be out of Sewer Flats soon, I doo doo!

About our thinker and bearded lady side show, if we could locate a two headed cow, a snake charmer and a flea circus, I bet we could make some dough!

    sheesh-ka-beesh-ka, baby!

I’ll echo TNMOM’s words: soon you”ll be “milking goats and picking fruit” or is that milking fruit and picking on goats, or picking goat’s noses, and milking it for all it’s worth?” either way…

“But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”-Romans 8:25

So, Smile, sister! It ain’t over til the fat lady sings, or in your case, the nudie neighbor collapses in the sewage 🙂

Hey…do you remeber that time we were getting an ice cream cone in Hamburg? You had your own ideas about building the perfect cone and they did not involve trying to figure what the flavors actually were. So you ended up with Zimt and Zitrone because they both began with “z.” Hah! cinnamon and lemon…what a great combination. You gagged and I laughed.

Just thought that’d help you in your endeavors.

    I Feel For You, Jen.

Go check out my moving day list which I blogged shortly before our move out of the last (wonderful) house into storage… which we are still IN, seven months later. 🙁 This apartment is a difficult thing to be thankful for, but I’m thanking God none-the-less. 🙂

Sometimes our hardest trails bring forth the most cherished lessons of all.

Forget the herd of virtual goats we discussed – you’ll probably have some real ones soon enough, anyway.

Instead, here is your new virtual housewarming gift:

    A HATCHET!

Praying peace as you wait…Bought two houses and sold two houses in a 15-month-period. It did not bring out the most godly behavior in me – especially come closing time!

Blessings on your family as you start this new season of hopefully-a-lack-of-naked-neighbor-and-smelly-sewage-problems! Once it can begin!

    In His abiding love,

    Kari

    Nice poem… Me thinks!

And so sorry your place stinks.

Now, head on over & read our son’s post

A pretty good poem, if I must boast! 🙂

    It is quite common…

We did real estate in Missouri for a while and those kinds of things are way too common and so frustrating, not only to the buyer but the seller and also to the agent, especially since it was our bread and butter and you were never sure if you were going to have any! I hope it goes smoothly from here and that you are closed and moving this next week.

    Love and shalom,

    Serena
