Thars Snow In Them Thar Hills

I like the type of snow TN makes.  It melts the next day and it’s not too
cold.  I am just as happy as a peach pie
in my cozy little house with my cozy little family and my cozy little boxes of
curry.  A girl couldn’t ask for anything
more.  Nauseating, aren’t I?  Sorry, I can’t help being so giddy.  I am just really thankful for how God has
blessed us.

Guess what Paul and Gena thunk up?  We are going to be making some really superbly
neatish HSB promo shirts, and YOU are going to be featured on them.

We’ll have a bunch of “Just A Few Of My Friends” HomeschoolBlogger.com shirts to give
away when they’re done.  Not sure when
that’ll be, it’s still in the Phase One Blabber Stage.  Fun idea though, dontcha thinketh?

Lastly, it’s high time you people claim your puppies.  My overly nice husband agreed to let Gena
drop the whole herd off over here.  I can’t
handle this much *cuteness*.  PLEASE claim
your puppy!! PLEASE.  Pretty Please?  I’ll give you anything you want if you’ll
just come and take one away…  SmallWorld
took one and she loves her little furry friend.  Sign up
below.  All puppies come with a free one year subscription, a mini
van, a full sized chocolate palace and a pink pony.

Those t-shirts sound really cool! The puppies are a lot cuter now but I still don’t want/can’t take one. I’m homeless right now. My home is in Romania and we are here in the states. I’m in one state and my dh is in another for a whole month. That’s horrible. We live with my parents when we are not on the road. I’m getting very whiney and it’s more than 2 weeks until my dh comes home. : ( Sorry to whine on your blog.) Have fun with the t-shirts, the new home and the cute little puppies!

Well I was already to claim the one year subscription, a mini van, a full sized chocolate palace and a pink pony when you mentioned the puppies. They have gotten less ugly, actually, they are downright cute. But I am all pet’ed out. I am probably the only blogger on HSB that really isn’t a pet person, but don’t tell anyone. I believe God created all animals to be free and in the wild, not in my house or any structure on our property. BTW, did you do the typical southern thing when snow is in the forecast….did you run to the store for bread, milk, batteries, salt, shovel, and a generator?

    Where's MY pony?

That is SOOOO true that we love our puppy! You can see Daisy here when we first brought her home, and she is even cuter now! I am telling you, this is the smartest, sweetest pup I’ve ever seen! I am really not exaggerating, even though I’m exceptionally happy and optimistic because my sweet husband and my friends just threw me a smashing surprise birthday party. In fact I love her so much that I will even forego that pink pony, and since I already have a subscription to TOS, I guess I’ll just have to take that chocolate. Look me up next time there is a giant blizzard and you need to stock up. We live 2 minutes from the Blount County Walmart.

I’m really glad you’re so happy in your cozy home. I’m really happy that you are real peachy cream curry cozy. And I’m most happy that your snow melts in one day, unlike ours which totally overstays its welcome, and then comes back again in April or May. e-gads.

PaulnGena – that’s one word, right? – totally read my mind about having “blogger tees”..also baseball caps and bumper stickers, right? I’d really like one…

    Those puppies are adorable…

I wish that I could get one. We think that ds might be allergic to ours. If he isn’t(he has to go through allergy testing) and the one I have my eye on is still available…maybe I can convince dh..but then again we are a state away. Hey road trip. 😉

If you have a puppy that does the dishes, I’d be glad to take him. Otherwise, I don’t do animals that don’t work…not even the cute ones. Take just one, and you get sucked in and it’s all over.

    Oh. You already know that.

Good idea on the HSB tshirts.

… And since you liked my “V-Day” post… I fully expect you to promote the day and recant your uber-ridiculousness on the day of love!

    T-shirts

I ***LOVE*** the idea of a HSB t-shirt. Very nice.

I will not take a dog, though. No thank you. I’d like to get rid of the dog we have now. Anybody want a yellow lab?

I completely agree with eyecorn about animals.

As giddy as you are, I’d say you LOVE Valentine’s Day!

Funny thing, first you complain about how UGLY the puppies are, and now they’re cute….I’ll give you you the same offer I gave Gena, FedEx it to me. Or, maybe I could take one off your hands if we move to NC! We really do need a dog for the sheep/goats and your dogs fit the description.

Glad you’re lovin’ your new house!

    God Bless,

    Amber

on your little campaign, for moral, politcal and good taste reasons, do not title it anything like<a href=http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/gottsegnet/82863/>"You are homeschoolblogger."</a> Just my two cents.

btw, have you seen my adorable little puppy? Holden:

He's a mite bit bigger now, though. I need to get some more pictures of him…

ok, that didn't work. Try again. Here is my attempt at <a href=http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/gottsegnet/82863/>that link</a>.

And, while that string of code would be an annoying campaign slogan, the one I actually was recommending you not use was, "You are homeschoolblogger." The reasons will become clear if you check my blog : )

and here should be that picture.

    <img src = http://static.flickr.com/39/75062263_d4c0181e69_m.jpg&gt;

It worked before I edited it…but I can't edit a second time. If it doesn't work this time, oh well. Close your eyes and "be the picture." Maybe it will come to you.

ok, it is something about editing comments that makes my neat little hypertext things come up as code. But now I am a woman on a mission, and I WILL succeed at posting this comment.

DO NOT TITLE YOUR CAMPAIGN You are homeschoolblogger.

and here should be that picture.

    I don't know….

After the kids brought down moose bones from the mountain top yesterday, I’m not too sure I want another dog roaming our woods….I’m not too sure I’m going to let the kids roam the woods any more! Of course, The moose ‘could’ have succumbed to natural causes. But, the thought of there being ‘natrual causes’ in our woods tough enough to take down a moose is a little intimidating…Not too confident it was a hunter, as the rack is part of what they brought back…

I’m not too sure you’d want to be my sister, it could be fun though. Of course, my sister balked at the “Great Auntie” title already. We’ve 10 grand children ya know. 9 from Dh’s grown children in Buffalo, and now we’re a 3rd generation household, making it an even 10.

Yup, in Buffalo, I’m known as “Grandma who does flips”, meaning back walk overs. Quite the title, isn’t it.

    T-Shirts

I’m with eyecorn on the puppy thing. My kids will be lucky if I let them have a fish someday, but please, nothing that sheds hair all over the house!

How about a HSB shirt that says “I blog, therefore I am”?

    T-Shirts and Puppies

Can’t help you with the puppies. My dh would put me out and lock the doors if I brought one more animal home.

But the T-Shirt thing intrigues me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be VERY interested in one – or two – or three……Keep us posted!

With three fish, three cats, two standard poodles, a water snail and baby number six due any day, I’m thinking resisting cute puppy faces is easy. 🙂

The t-shirts sound like a fun idea. 🙂

    Howdy neighbor!

Guess what I just finigured out (yes, that’s fin-i-gurred… blame my crazy, weird mom)… that I’m only a bit less than 2 hours away from you! How great is that?! Not that you know me or anything, but I DO work for you ya’ know. Well, for TOS anyway, which you are the queen writer for, correct? I hear you’re pretty darn good at that advertising marketing stuff too… gotta get some tips from ya’ on that.

ANYWAY… we’ve got the snow here too. Such fun! All the schools around here are called off for tomorrow, so I’m thinking of calling it a snow day too, whadya think? We done raided the grocery store Friday and snatched up the last of the bread, milk, and hamburger, so we’re all set!

The puppies are cute, but we’ve got our own little rugrat-on-speed to deal with, so I think we’ll pass too.

Oh, and I can’t wait to see them thar T-shirts! If ya’ need anyone to test ’em out and give a review, I’m your gal!

    puppies DO do dishes!!!

Haven’t you heard about the woman who had the pastor & his wife over for dinner? They offered to help clean up afterwards and the hostess replied “Oh, it’s nothing a little soap & water can’t handle.” She then put the dishes on the floor and said “Here Soap, Here Water.” (big groan)

I’ve just discovered your blog thanks to my friend, Molly, from Choosing Home. You are way too hilarious!!! Thanks for the laughs. :0)

Be thankful that snow leaves… ours is here for months in Alaska… ugh!

The HSB shirts are a great idea! How about making them easily identifiable, like bright colors or something? That way, when we go to our annual homeschool conventions, we could all wear them and be able to pick out the other homeschool bloggers. That would be fun! It would be like finding a long-lost cousin or something. 🙂
