Some News Is Good News

EVERYBODY knows Amy over at Amy’s Humble
Musings
so I was happy to get an email from her saying that she was entering
our Blubber Blogger contest.  Anyways, it
just so happens that Amy is a big cheater.
She’s due to lose about 15 pounds within the next couple weeks.

No matter, Amy, you can still participate. Not only that,
but I’m going to assume that you *will* indeed be the winner, so without delay
I am sending you your prize.  A brand new
cute puppy!

Yay! Actually, I think I will send you two.  Congratulations!

In other news, I am jubilantish today because my HoneyButterStrawberryDumpling
got me set up with a brand new thing called CNN Pipeline.  This is helpful
because we aint don’t got no tv.  So now
I can watch the news whenever I want and keep updated on the impending nuclear Armageddon
apocalypse
–yep, the same one that
me and gena are stocking up and canning pints of ground hamburger for. I am
watching Condie Rice talk about Iran’s
nukes right now as we speak.  Isn’t that
exciting?  (I’m talking about my online
CNN stream, not the nukes.). It is just as clear as watching TV Too bad they
don’t have a FOX News Pipeline….

LASTLY, Kris Price, you are a good guesser, the lady I called twere the same one you said.

Good for Amy joining.I really enjoy reading her blog as well. A momma has gotta use all the leverage she can get! I’d join but it wouldn’t work in my favor at this stage. Perhaps you can run this little contest again after October 1st. I may join than fdkjahfkahdfkhdadskf

    Have a blessed day!

Congrats on your house, have fun canning for Armegeddon, glad you have your internet back, no thank you to a puppy, good luck on the weight loss, and happy un-valentines day. I think I’m caught up now.

You can at least go to FoxNews.com and read what they are covering. They even have little video clips of this and that. Why’s it called a pipeline? Makes me think of oil. I guess that’s the best way to describe the sludge coming out of CNN!!!

Anyhoo, how is the t-shirt design coming along? Dear Man said there should be a shirt for the spouses, “Has anyone commented to spouse lately?” or “I’d tell you my spouses real name but I don’t remember it.”

Hi. When I read your posts, I feel very happy. You sound so bubbly and energetic it kind of perks me up. Thank you. Keep up the bubby talk. Pity I cannot enter your blubber contest, I need to grow fat. So please email whatever you have lost to me. : )

    I'll do it.

My daughter is forcing me into this.(Our competition for visitors that is.) I need to lose about 20 pounds. I even went to Curves with her today and think I will join. Usually I walk a lot but the weather has forced me to hibernate lately. If only I could stop eating those chocolate bars. I was thinner all my life until i moved to the south and the big M hit. No bad symptoms just can’ t seem to lose wait easy anymore. I proomise to wiegh myself next time at Curves and I won’t encrypt it. (I hope I have the courage to do this.) I’ll post it on my site so you all can see. Blessings upon you all to drop those nasty pounds of blubberocity.

    HI Jen!

Are you counting chickens yet, or still waiting for them to hatch, or still just waiting for the crate to arrive? Don’t forget the incubator! Hope you’re having fun in On Curry Farm!

I told you that sulfur would come in handy. Friends of our stockpiled for Y2K. I think they are sick of canned peaches now. Cut way into their shopping bill for years, though. I figure it is all pointless. It’s like social security. People say that we can’t rely on it. That it won’t be there when we’re old. I’m not entirely sure a good deal of the world will be around then, but I digress. If social security folds, then our government folds. If our government folds, we will be thrust into anarchy and then probably a horrid dictatorship. Maybe that’s what ben Laden is waiting for, I don’t know. Anyway, no other savings plan…even large stores of cash, will do me any good.

If the nukes come, I kinda hope they just land right on me head and send me right to that great light in heaven….

    Talking… talking… talking…

So I mentioned you in my recent Valentine post… besides… you know you’re dying to read what happened… be careful though… you don’t want to get all mushy and break down, and feel the need to do something “Valentine-y” for your hubby… although, I’m way proud of you for getting the candies for the fam… baby steps… you can do it!

And hey… I don’t remember seeing any “rules” about the whole weight challenge that you’re having… sheesh… you just can’t please some people… and I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU to come to my house and feed me whatever you like (along with the fam)! a;lsdkja;sdlkfj So THERE! (You could invite me there too… but I come with many others so be warned…

And thanks for the doll too! Can’t wait to get it! Oh… and you’re stuff is in the mail too… oh wait… I accidently am lying about that… you haven’t given me your addy yet (slacker) a;sldkfja;sdlfj;saldkj… too bad, cuz I was really going to mail tomorrow… and you’re really going to like it.

    Love ya,

    Amy

Wait a minute, you’re in TN, you should be canning venison. As for our nuke prep, canned Oreos and Snickers bars. You know how you’re always giving away these neat prizes, I’m having a little contest of my own for the children of bloggers….check the rules, nothing excluding children of employees of TOS or HSB….

Jen, I’ve had so much fun reading your blog…you are too funny. 🙂 I’m one of Coie’s new friends by the way – Letitia’s oldest daughter. Hopefully we can get together again sometime soon and I’d love to meet the rest of the family as well!

    Have a great day!

    Count me in!

I am officially throwing my hat into the ring for the weight-loss contest. I lost 28 lbs. last year and gained 9 of it back (grrrr). Maybe this will motivate me to lose the 9 again, and the little extra I wanted to get rid of too.

Oh, and I weigh 148 (grrrr again).

    Blessings,

    Courtney
