Salty High Carb Doritios
These certainly don’t help with weight loss. The salt makes you retain fluid, the carbs make you retain fluid. Actually, you are eating a lot of carbs in general. You have said you lost weight before on no carb, you might want to try low carb. From memory I am thinking you had pancakes for breakfast that day and beans for lunch. Just an idea to help with the last stubborn pounds you want to lose.

Hi Jen
Here is a summary of a book that I read Mastering Leptin which gives some simple guidelines about eating which really help (there is an annoying pop-up ad that appears everytime and you have to scroll down a bit to start reading the article). I tried these guidelines for eating last August and lost cravings for snacking in three days. The annoying hunger pangs were gone. I lost ten pounds fairly quickly. (Of course, now that I’m preggie I gained it all back really quickly!) I don’t know if you are interested in investigating different ideas, but I thought I’d post the info. just in case, b/c it really helped me and wasn’t difficult. It makes sense to me, when I think about how my grandparents used to eat and their generation didn’t struggle as much with weight problems.

I told you that I was 135.5 now…
Also… would you please spread the word about Candace’s surgery tomorrow? I have a prayer list on my blog for anyone who would like to take a specific time to pray.
Thanks,
Amy

Blubber Bloggers
How do I join your blubber blogger thing? I’ve followed yours and Spunky’s weblog for a month or so but have to confess I was never motivated to actually set up a weblog myself until now that is! So, I just set mine up today and am hoping to share all my random thoughts with the cyber world and also get some accountability with losing some baby weight. Here are my stats: Current: 161 1st goal: 145. Should I be e-mailing these to you? I don’t see other people post this…you do it for them but you must get the numbers some how? I tried to do the South Beach Diet after baby #1 and it actually worked for me but I had to stop when I got pregnant with #2. Now I just can’t do it. I’m not sure what my problem is. Plus, I ate eggs like everyday for breakfast and was also nursing and now baby#1 has an egg allergy! Not sure if it’s related but I don’t want to do that to #2. Plus, I really am no a big fan of eggs. BTW, I love reading all your funny happenings around your house.

Dh says our scale is
messed up. Not sure whether to believe him or not, but I’ve actually gained half a pound since last week. (I neglected to post last Sunday, but my weight hadn’t changed!) Now, I LOOK better, my clothes fit better, so all that’s good – I must be gaining muscle mass! Hahahahaha!
So, there it is: I weigh 152.5.

Hi Jenig! WoW~ That pic facial shot of you, doesn’t even look like you! You look so much more beautious now! Ok, This week I did much better than last, I only got to exercise 2x this week, cuz I was sick. So last week I started @ 220 and this week I am 216. (-4lb)
Crazy I am down 5 lbs altogether and my clothes are getting TIGHTER! I am fairly certain it isn’t muscle building up. Must be shifting blubber!
OH, so sorry about you almost burning down the house of Igarashi. At least there is a reason to change the green carpet now.
GARDEN PLANNING: Before you buy anything, you should come up with a garden plan; where and how much of each thing you are planting. Ask at your local library if there is some garden master who has published a book about gardening in TN. Books that specifically talk about your state are the most helpful. Especially in planning. Happy gardening!

weigh in–Sunday
I’m up to 122, but I feel that it shouldn’t count because I’m hormonal and retaining water. (Humph) I have endometriosis, so my cycles can be a bit quirky, to say the least. I’ve been really watching my calories and working out with my tapes (The FIRM–aerobic weight training), and am seeing shoulder, back and leg muscle definition again. *Yeah!*
On a positive note, my new pants fit better, so I must be slimming down somewhere, right? (Grin)

Hi Jen!
I promised that I would post about the Blubber Bloggers contest, and I finally got around to it. This was a busy week cause my next to last baby went and had a really nasty birthday and is now 1/4 of a century old. Now how does he think THAT makes his Momma feel??? 🙁
Anyway, if you would like to read what I wrote for those of us who are “Bigger Blubber Bloggers” and want to read about the really cool prize I am giving away to the Bigger Blubber Blogger who loses the largest percentage of weight by Easter, head on over to my blog. I might even be very nice and offer a cool prize to both a Bigger Blubber Blogger and a normal Blubber Blogger, too, cause I don’t want to see any of you get in the shape I am in. As an older Titus 2 woman, I must remember my duty to encourage and help the younger women, so I’m telling you all—LOSE THAT WEIGHT!!!!
Sounds like you are doing GREAT so far with this competition. It is just what I need to motivate myself. It is so cool that you started this! Too bad we don’t all live closer so we can take a group before and after picture!

I keep hearing about the Blubber Blog or whatever. Is it too late to join? Where can I find the “what it’s all about” post?

I’m fatter than I thought I was!!!!
161 lbs. WAAAAAAAAH!
I have a before picture on my blog. That fat lady with the cute baby is yours truly.
I am wrapping up a survey (and contest) on internet security. I am quite interested in the results, since so many seem to have concerns as of late. Please stop by and answer the survey questions. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Janne/89977/

checking in
I’m down six pounds. I knew that post-vacation weight had to be erroneous! All I needed was to get back home where there is only one person stuffing my face, not several!
